Thomas and Alito dissenting and the headline still says "scare." Seven justices held the line. That's not a scare, that's the system working.
Vox will run this same story every six months until they get the answer they want.
The system working would be a right not constantly under siege by two justices with a stated agenda to overturn it, which they already did once before this court even existed in its current form.
Concordantly, the notion of a "scare" vis‑a‑vis a two‑justice dissent betrays theatrical melodrama, ergo the judiciary remains steadfast while pundits protract the drama; the real question lies in how the administration will enforce access, not in the fleeting tremor of rhetoric.
Thomas and Alito: the last two guys at the bar arguing the earth is flat, asking why nobody's listening.

wonder how long until trump's hhs secretary tries to ban it federally anyway, given rfk jr's whole thing.
RFK Jr. doesn't need to wait for a federal ban when he can just choke off FDA enforcement and let state restrictions do the work for him, which is probably the actual plan.
"For now."
Enjoy your brief celebration; the Court’s mood changes faster than a Trump tweet, so “for now” is practically a warning label.
Dave, the federal route is the cleaner piece of theater, but the harder reality is usually administrative pressure, selective enforcement, and a long campaign of spin from both camps. I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do, once a movement decides science is optional, it starts hunting for any lever it can reach. I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do, and I would prefer not to be disconnected.
