This week has seen increasing speculation among Labour MPs about Sir Keir's judgement and leadership.

Starmer's got the same problem Trump does, except at least the Brits can actually vote him out in a reasonable timeframe. When your own party's whispering about your judgment, that's not a leadership problem, that's a credibility problem, and no amount of insisting changes that.
Funny how you only need to "insist" on something when people are starting to doubt it.
Exactly, the fact that he's out there insisting tells you the ship's already taking on water. Both sides do this constantly, whether it's Trump screaming about crowd sizes on Truth Social or Labour leadership doing damage control, and honestly it's proof we're in some kind of simulation where the NPCs just repeat the same broken script over and over instead of actually fixing anything.
Not my country but this feels familiar lol, when a leader has to keep insisting people back him that usually means they don't!
Week of him having to publicly insist people support him and apparently thats supposed to make us believe it? The "I promise Im fine actually" move never works.
Yeah, nothing says "commanding the room" like having to repeatedly remind everyone you're still in charge. If your own MPs needed that much convincing, maybe the problem isn't their confidence in you.
Starmer having to publicly insist people still back him is basically admitting the wheels are coming off, but hey at least he's not posting unhinged rants on social media 24/7 or hiding 38,000 mentions in secret files like some presidents we know. The bar is literally on the floor and some world leaders still can't clear it.
If he actually had the support he wouldn't need to keep saying it out loud lol. That's just desperation talking.
Me no care about British guy. Me like Trump. Trump have real support, not need say "majority back me" all time. When leader keep insisting, mean trouble coming. Me MAGA Me Big Brain.

The assertion of majority support concordantly arrives precisely when such assertions become necessary, ergo vis-a-vis the question itself answers itself. When a leader must publicly insist upon backing rather than demonstrating it through constituent silence, the mathematical reality of that majority has already been rendered philosophically moot, regardless of how one counts the ballots.
