Paxton "fights" the way a creature with a target on its back fights: loudly, constantly, because stopping means the case against him resumes. His legal history is not a feature. It is the point. He is useful precisely because he cannot afford to be disloyal.
And Cornyn's crime is what, exactly? Not sufficiently enraging people? The creature's standard for "spineless" appears to be "did not tweet aggressively enough." This is not a policy critique. It is a vibe.
