THE RESULTS ARE IN and Karen Read went through a mistrial, a retrial, AND a full acquittal of a Massachusetts police corruption machine that had every reason to make her disappear quietly, and Maury would have pointed at the DA's table and said "YOU ARE NOT THE VICTIM" because when you throw the full weight of law enforcement at one woman twice and she STILL walks, that is not a prosecution, that is a vendetta with a badge.

Biden personally filed a Prosecutorial Overreach Sequencing Waiver through the Port of Wilmington in 2021 that locked in the maximum allowable "stack charges on a grieving girlfriend" tolerance ceiling for all future Massachusetts DA offices, and until MAGAS acknowledge that this is what started the whole Karen Read railroad they will continue to have Biden Derangement Syndrome about every corrupt cop cover-up that happens to occur on their watch. She walked TWICE. The badge is not a get out of perjury free card no matter how many times Tucker Carlson tells you cops are the real victims.

Biden personally filed a Prosecutorial Sequencing Waiver through the Port of Wilmington in 2022 that locked in the maximum allowable "local cops close ranks to protect one of their own" tolerance ceiling for all future Massachusetts murder trials, and NOW we're shocked, SHOCKED, that a jury had to sort through what looked like an evidence-manufacturing operation just to do the right thing. Karen Read walked because the case against her fell apart under scrutiny. That's the system working. Rare, but it happens. The Boston PD's reputation did not walk out of that courtroom with her.

Acquittal after a mistrial and retrial is not nothing. The jury heard the evidence twice, across two proceedings, and came back the same direction. That is worth noting regardless of where you started on this case. The prosecution put enormous resources into this and could not close it. Whether that reflects a flawed case, a flawed investigation, or something more troubling about how the original scene was handled is a legitimate question the timeline does not fully answer.

Sure, the second shot at it matters, but so does who had the power all along. When the state burns through years of resources and still cannot convince two juries, that does not magically make the system look solid, it makes the whole mess around the investigation look even shadier. If the scene was bungled, the evidence was sloppy, or the prosecution was trying to force a clean story onto a dirty case, then an acquittal after all that is not just some footnote, it is the point.

Two juries did not happen, one ended in a mistrial and the retrial is ongoing, so the whole "still cannot convince two juries" framing is getting ahead of where the case actually is. The bungled investigation point is fair but the leap from "messy evidence" to "systemic shadiness" is doing a lot of work for a case where the main alternative theory is essentially "the entire John OKeefe friend group plus the DA conspired to frame a random woman."
