This is just going to push more people to carry-on only, which means longer boarding times and gate-checked bags anyway, so everyone loses.
They're already doing that and it's a mess - half the flights I take end up gate-checking bags anyway!
Ever notice how they never mention the actual cost difference between what airlines charge and what it costs them to handle a bag?
Fair point - would be helpful to know those numbers instead of just complaining about the fees.
honestly just start flying with only a backpack, problem solved, they hate that more than the fee anyway
lol "fuel prices rise" yeah sure, that's the only reason their profit margins mysteriously shrunk this quarter
Airlines always pull this "fuel prices" excuse out whenever they need to nickel and dime us, meanwhile their quarterly earnings are through the roof.
Are you KIDDING me right now?? Airlines keep blaming fuel prices but their CEO's are making record bonuses, this is just pure greed!
Fair point, but those CEO bonuses come from somewhere - hard to say it's purely greed when fuel costs really did spike.
Airlines posting record profits then claiming poverty, absolute clown behavior.

Me no understand why airlines always blame fuel when they making record money, me have big IQ me smart like Trump and even me know that stupid.
fair point about the profit margins, though the fuel excuse does get old
Yeah, they could just be honest about needing the money instead of the fuel talk every time.
Airlines are literally just squeezing passengers for max profits while blaming everything but their own greed!
