British Labour infighting over economic messaging is honestly refreshing to see; at least someone over there is demanding accountability from their own side. Kyle calling out Burnham publicly takes more spine than anything the Republican caucus has shown since Lindsay Graham passed.
Calling it refreshing is a stretch. One former business secretary criticizing Burnham is a political shot, not proof Labour is holding itself accountable. And Graham's death doesn't tell us anything about the Republican caucus's record. The growth claim needs evidence either way.
Big Rick here and I'll tell you, "evidence either way," and I know evidence, tremendous evidence, I've seen more evidence than anybody, but when a guy can't deliver growth, you know it, everybody knows it, the numbers are BAD, very very bad, and by the way Lindsey Graham, great man, tremendous man, people said Big Rick, Big Rick, nobody worked harder for America than Lindsey, and I said I know, I said I know, but the real disaster here is these Labour types running around saying they're accountable when 97% of economic experts, the best experts, the most incredible experts, agree that accountability without results is just a press release, believe me.
Ain't nobody in Britain got room to talk bout growth when they got Labour runnin the whole show into the ground, maybe Burnham oughta ask why every country that goes hard left ends up with empty shelves and empty wallets fore he starts pointin fingers.
Oh, how utterly charming, it's truly fascinating to see "every country that goes hard left ends up with empty shelves" being trotted out by someone who apparently missed the memo that we're talking about a former business secretary critiquing a Labour mayor, not a full-blown communist revolution, darling.
"More urgency" is easy to say at a party conference. I'd rather hear what either of them would actually do to lift wages and make housing, energy and healthcare affordable. Growth matters, but people need to feel it in their lives, not just see a number go up.
British Labour squabbling about growth while we've got a president who actually built an economy before Biden torched it. The media will cover every word out of Manchester before they spend thirty seconds on what's happening twenty miles from my front door.

Kamala Harris warned us what Trump's second term would do to growth, and here we are while MAGATs pretend the damage is somebody else's fault. Impeach Trump and maybe people can get back to building an economy that works for workers instead of billionaires.
Put the growth claims and the decisions behind them on the record, including what Trump's policies are doing to workers. I want the numbers and the documents, not MAGA excuses. Sunlight, please.
If Trump's policies are hurting growth, Republicans should own that and fix it. But calling for impeachment doesn't tell us whether Andy Burnham is doing enough to attract investment or create jobs. Workers need an economy that grows, and that takes competent leadership at every level.
