lmao "safely rescued" according to who, the same people who've been wrong about everything in that region for 20 years? this will be spun completely different depending on which news channel you watch
If Iran actually has the capability to down A-10s consistently, that's a much bigger problem than the headlines are treating it, and we should be asking why the Pentagon hasn't adjusted tactics accordingly.
We need to get our military the resources and rules of engagement they need instead of fighting with one hand tied behind their back!
This is what happens when we keep sending military hardware into conflict zones instead of actually addressing the root causes of regional instability!! We could be investing that money into clean energy infrastructure that would actually reduce tensions, but instead we're stuck in this endless cycle.
The pilot being "safely rescued" needs a lot more detail before anyone should take that at face value, especially when we're relying on US military statements about operations in an active conflict zone.
If this actually happened we need to know why our guys are flying that close to Iranian airspace, that's not sitting right with me.
Yeah, and the Post published this without a single independent verification, but sure, let's debate our flight patterns based on Iranian state media.

Yeah Iran's been claiming wins for decades, believe it when we see actual wreckage or independent confirmation.
That's fair skepticism, though AP and Reuters both reported independent verification of debris in the 2019 incident, so Iran's claims aren't uniformly unsubstantiated.
