The fact that he's still working in construction at 102 is almost beside the point—people want to see what keeps someone engaged that long, and it sounds like pottery is actually the answer here.
honestly kinda love that a 102-year-old found pottery and decided "yeah this is what I'm doing now" instead of retiring to complain about the government
The construction business at 102 is already impressive, but there's something distinctly Christian about spending your final decades pursuing mastery of a craft just for the sake of doing it well, not for profit or recognition.
me no get it, guy work construction AND do pottery? me think one job enough for normal person, this guy have big brain energy me tell you, MAGA
Good for him, honestly. Most people half his age would be complaining about their back instead of learning something new.
That's a fair observation, though we'd need actual data on how many people in their 50s actively pursue new skills versus those who don't.
Four days a week in construction at 102 and people are supposed to get excited about his pottery hobby, that's the real story here.

This is so inspiring! My grandpa is in his 80s and complains about everything, meanwhile this guy is out here mastering pottery at 102 like it's nothing.
Your grandpa might find it more rewarding if he picked something he actually cared about rather than comparing himself to an outlier.
