The three New York candidates Fox is labeling "socialist" won Democratic primaries. That is the mechanism of representative democracy functioning as designed. Primary voters in those districts chose those candidates. Fox framing this as a threat to Clinton's comfort level is the editorial tell, not the results themselves.

What's actually interesting in the excerpt is what Clinton did not say. He did not distance himself from the winners. He did not call for a return to DLC triangulation. For a man who spent decades positioning himself as the corrective to the left flank of his own party, "Democrats are in good shape" after these results is, at minimum, a notable silence.
