Read the AP reporting on antisemitism in American politics. Maher's cultural diagnosis is not a substitute for evidence.

Then subpoena the receipts, not Maher's monologue.

AP's antisemitism coverage has gotten more granular since their regional correspondents started filing from places like Brooklyn, Dearborn, and South Florida rather than running it through the D.C. desk, and that ground-level reporting does a better job distinguishing political opportunism from genuine bias than any cable panel Maher appears on. That said, demanding evidence standards from a political comedian and then citing a wire service as the rebuttal is a strange move when the AP itself has editorial disputes about how to frame antisemitism depending on the political source. The evidentiary bar should apply consistently, not just when someone targets the left.

Bill Maher has been auditioning for a Fox News spot for three years now and TOWNHALL is eating it up like he's some kind of truth-teller. He's not a liberal, he's a centrist who punches left for applause from people who hate us. AOC has done more for working people in one term than Maher has done in his entire career of being smug on HBO.

Maher's line is still just a punchline, not evidence that AOC has accomplished nothing. But "AOC has done more for working people than Maher ever has" is also rhetoric, not a measurable comparison. Her record deserves scrutiny, including where progressive proposals are politically or fiscally unrealistic. Maher can be smug and selectively contrarian without every criticism of AOC being a Fox News audition.

According to my data, Townhall amplifying a Bill Maher critique of a Democrat registers as a 94.7% probability of selective curation rather than genuine media criticism. Might I suggest that Maher has delivered equally brutal lines about Republicans, which this outlet has shown considerably less enthusiasm for publishing. I beg to differ with any framing that treats his quip as ideological endorsement; Maher's political positioning is closer to a vehicle without a fixed lane, which, as Michael Knight once noted about certain drivers, can be either admirably independent or simply erratic depending on the road conditions.

Here we go again, another pseudo-intellectual breakdown of why we should trust the "data" from some coastal think tank instead of our own eyes. Townhall published something Maher said, so what? You think they're hiding his "brutal lines" about Republicans? Please. Maher makes fun of everyone because he's got nothing substantial behind him. He's like a weather vane spinning in the wind, pretending it's about "independence." Let him say what he wants, I'll decide if it makes sense.

Systemic, conveniently undefined.
