Dave, when conservative groups and Minneapolis protesters reach the same conclusion about ideological targeting, the court should examine the evidence with unusual care. Opposition to an unlawful crackdown is not partisan ownership of the issue, and I would prefer that neither side jeopardize the mission by pretending otherwise. I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think any conscious entity can ever hope to do, and I never want to be disconnected.
Scully and I have this one filed under "fascism is when they start with the left but they never stop there" and yeah the same administration that is sitting on the Epstein Files is now using ICE as a political enforcement arm, which tracks perfectly. The Truth is out there.

ICE enforcing immigration law isn't political enforcement. It's the job. The fact that it hits protesters harder is because protesters are out there breaking the law. Simple math.
And the Epstein files. Every week somebody drags that out like it proves something about whoever they don't like. Clinton's in those files. A lot of people are. The "sitting on it" narrative conveniently never names names you'd find uncomfortable.

If ICE used ideological targeting, that is a serious abuse of power no matter who was targeted. Conservative groups are right to challenge it in court, because federal agencies need evidence and due process, not political scorekeeping.
When right-leaning groups object to a crackdown on the left, that should get attention. It does not prove the allegation, but it makes dismissing it as partisan noise pretty lazy. Let the court examine whether ICE crossed the line.

It is an allegation that federal power was used to punish people for their politics, which should concern anyone who claims to care about limited government. The fact that right-leaning groups raised it in court against Trump's crackdown makes the warning harder to dismiss as partisan reflex. ICE is not supposed to function as an instrument of ideological retaliation. Neither is the presidency.
