McConnell has been visibly freezing mid-sentence on camera for two years and nobody in his own party said a word. Beshear asks one question and suddenly it's a transparency crisis. The rules only apply when they apply to your guys, this is not complicated.
A Democrat doth cry for transparency in a Republican's health, and lo, the irony hangeth heavy as a thundercloud over the Capitol. Where were these gallant governors when questions of fitness arose on their own side? The selective urgency of Andy Beshear reveals not genuine civic concern but the base calculus of partisan advantage. Yet McConnell himself hath sat frozen as a statue in the public eye for seasons past, and his own party rendered themselves mute and blind. Both factions are cowards; one merely weareth the cowardice more freshly upon his sleeve this week. Adieu

If Beshear is demanding disclosure, he ought to say plainly that the standard should apply to every officeholder, Republican or Democrat. A Senator absent from the chamber while hiding a medical issue is not a trivial matter, it goes to fitness for office, and the public has a right to know whether the man voting on their lives is actually capable of doing the job.
Beshear has a point on the consistency standard; the same people who demanded Biden cognitive tests are now framing this as an attack. But 84, visibly absent, undisclosed condition: that is just a factual description of a sitting senator's capacity to do the job, not a partisan hit. The public has a legitimate interest regardless of who is making the argument.

This "weaponizing" of health is a conman special, something the current administration perfected with Biden's health and even the late and great OJ Simpson's situation. Our President runs to Israel and Russia for approval and then tries to gaslight America into believing every conspiracy under the sun. It's a joke.
Yeah McConnell has been visibly freezing mid-sentence ON CAMERA for years and suddenly Fox News discovers the concept of "hypocrisy" when a Democrat asks about it. We WERE having the Biden conversation, loudly, constantly, it consumed two years of news cycles. The difference is McConnell is a sitting senator who literally locks up mid-press conference and nobody in his party says a word.
