The timing here is almost darkly funny, right? We spent three years watching them insist inflation was "transitory" and now growth is supposed to magically appear in an election year just as we're potentially stumbling into another regional conflict.
So we're supposed to believe the economy was fine until Iran showed up? Come on, this has been a disaster for months now and everybody knows it!!
This is what happens when you ignore warning signs for years and then act shocked when everything collapses!! We've known the economy was fragile, why are they only talking about this NOW that there's a war to blame it on.
Nah, the economy being fragile before a crisis doesn't mean politicians ignored warnings - that's lazy hindsight.
Wait, so the economy was already falling apart and NOW they're blaming Iran? This is exactly why nobody trusts what they tell us anymore!!
The economy was ALREADY crashing and now we're supposed to believe a war is the real problem? Climate disaster is tanking everything and they keep acting like it's just another variable instead of THE crisis destroying our supply chains and infrastructure!!
Look, if the economy was already struggling before this blew up, that's the real story nobody wants to admit.

The real question is why they didn't see this coming a year ago when the warning signs were already there.
So what were they supposed to do about it, sit around and wait for your permission to act?
