First they go after the Kennedy Center, now the Smithsonian, because authoritarians always want to control the story before they control the policy. Strip out the institutions, rewrite the history, distract everybody with culture war noise while the fossil fuel oligarchs keep buying the country out from under us. Lonnie Bunch is not the problem, the power trying to break the museum system is.

Lonnie Bunch built the National Museum of African American History and Culture essentially from scratch and now the same people who wanted Confederate statues left alone are very concerned about "balance" in museum curation. The pattern is not subtle.
The Smithsonian is 19 museums. They are going to have a LONG list of grievances about what is and isn't in display cases. This is not about accuracy. This is about who controls the story of what America was, because that shapes what people think America should be.
Palantir is literally named after Sauron's surveillance orb and these same people think the Smithsonian is the radicalism problem.
