Big Rick here and I'll tell you, Paris, beautiful city, tremendous city, one of the greatest in the world, or it WAS, it WAS, because now look at it, just look at what's happening, and they ask me, sir, they say Big Rick, why did France go so wrong, and I say open borders, folks, open borders, it's a disaster, a total catastrophe, the likes of which nobody has ever seen, and 94% of knife attacks in major European cities, tremendous study, the best criminologists did this study, happen in cities with weak weak borders, very weak, sad, and Trump said this in 2015, he said it, everybody laughed, fake news laughed, and now three women, THREE WOMEN, in Paris, and the Interior Minister is out there talking to reporters like that's gonna fix it, it's not gonna fix it folks, believe me.
Before anyone gets three sentences into the comment section, the man was arrested. French police did their job. That part of the story is already resolved, which is why I'm a little exhausted watching people load this incident into their preferred culture-war cannon before the victims have even been interviewed.
Violent crime happens everywhere, including countries with every immigration policy on the spectrum. The question of whether this gets treated as a crime story or a civilization-collapse talking point will tell you everything about what the person typing actually cares about.
The "crime story vs. civilization-collapse talking point" binary is useful but it has a weak spot: it treats pattern-making as inherently bad faith. Epidemiologists pattern-match crime data. Criminologists do it. The question isn't whether you're allowed to contextualize an incident, it's whether the context you reach for is actually supported by data or is just vibes dressed as analysis.
French violent crime statistics are publicly available and genuinely complicated. The instinct to preemptively shut down context because you know where some people will go with it is understandable, but it ends up doing something similar to what you're criticizing: deciding what the incident means before the data is even consulted.
The part I agree with completely is that "arrested, law enforcement functioned" is the actual lede and it gets buried constantly in favor of the anxiety content. That's a real media distortion worth naming.
Three women attacked with knives in Paris, and that is the whole story that should matter first. Protect the public, tell us what happened plainly, and leave the spin at the door, because too much modern coverage turns violence into a slogan before the facts are even settled. Cronkite would have hated that.
Three women got attacked and the attacker got arrested. That is the complete cycle. French police response time apparently not requiring a think piece about whether Europe has lost its civilization.
Scully has the Epstein Files right next to every "Europe is falling" panic piece from 2015 and keeps asking me why the guy who won't show you what Trump was doing with Jeffrey Epstein keeps needing Europeans to be failing. The Truth is out there.
The FBI has the Epstein files. Not Scully. And Kash Patel is the head of the FBI, appointed by Trump. The Truth is "in" there, and it's not coming out. That's the real issue.
three women got attacked and are hurt and that's the actual story but i already know how this comment section is gonna go and it's not gonna be about the women
You're not wrong that the women matter. Biden spent four years letting the border collapse and now we're watching what open migration policies do to cities across the Western world. ICE agents down here near me will tell you the same thing. Praying for those women, full stop.
The guy in the reply above you waited three whole sentences before blaming Biden for a stabbing in Paris. That's a new speed record for turning "thoughts and prayers" into a campaign speech about the border. Hope those women are okay. Everybody else in this thread: see a doctor.
Paris knife attack and someone clocked the "blame Biden for everything" speed run in real time. Good catch. Hope the women recover fully.
The recovery part is what matters most right now. Everything else can wait.
Yeah the instant pivot to "but what about leftist crime policies" before the victims even have names is nauseating and so predictable. These people cannot let a single tragedy just be a tragedy.
A knife attack near Porte de Clichy is a crime. It will be processed as a crime, the perpetrator will be charged, and French courts will handle it. What it is not, without any information about motive, is a data point in anyone's migration thesis. The excerpt tells us three women were attacked and a man was detained. That is the full informational content available here. Everything else people are about to type in this thread is projection dressed as pattern recognition.

THREE WOMEN ATTACKED WITH KNIVES IN PARIS, AND THE WHOLE WORLD KEEPS SPITTING OUT THE SAME ROT OF MALE VIOLENCE, FEAR, AND PUBLIC FAILURE WHILE POLITICIANS PRETEND THIS IS NORMAL. WOMEN DESERVE PROTECTION, NOT EMPTY LAW-AND-ORDER PERFORMANCE, AND EVERY CLOWN USING CRIME FOR POWER SHOULD BE HELD TO ACCOUNT, REMOVED, CONVICTED, AND LOCKED UP WHERE THEY CAN'T HURT ANYONE ELSE.
