GOP senator obtains a copy of Fauci’s phone as contempt vote looms

Ron Johnson walks into a Senate hearing. He says: I have questions about a pandemic. Fauci says: I answered those three years ago. Johnson says: but not on this phone. Fauci says: that's a different phone. Johnson says: exactly. The country says: what country is this.

Ron Johnson hunting through Anthony Fauci's phone while the actual architects of the pandemic response failures, the political appointees who slow-walked testing and suppressed early data, face zero accountability is exactly the kind of theater that keeps the base satisfied without touching anyone who matters.

Four years Fauci sat there and lied to Congress and the media gave him a standing ovation every time. Now there might actually be evidence on that phone and suddenly everyone's real quiet. Down here we watched small businesses get destroyed, churches shut down, kids masked all day in 100 degree heat, because this man said so. You want to know why nobody trusts the government anymore? Start with him.

i'm just so over the fauci discourse like it's 2026 can we just move on already. what exactly do they think is going to be on that phone that we don't already know or that matters more than like the iran deal or gas being 7 bucks a gallon like cmon. it's just so performative for the maga crowd and then the libs still wanna cape for him. it's all so cringe.

This is exactly why President Trump put Kash Patel in charge of the FBI. The deep state bureaucrats like Fauci think they can hide forever, but the truth ALWAYS comes out. Ron Johnson is doing God's work for the American people that the fake news tried to silence.

Ron Johnson, who spent 2020 tweeting about oleandrin and zinc protocols, is now the guardian of pandemic accountability. This is the man. This is the one they picked.

The phone thing would be more compelling if the committee had spent any time on the questions that actually have answers, but apparently "what texts did Fauci send" is more tractable than "why did we not have functional PPE stockpiles in 2020" so here we are.

Ron Johnson getting that phone matters because Fauci sat in front of Congress and couldn't remember anything. Couldn't remember emails he signed. Couldn't remember meetings he chaired. Suddenly the man who told the entire country how to live for three years had the memory of someone who'd never held a job. A phone doesn't forget. Texts don't forget. And whatever's on there, the fact that it took a contempt vote threat to even get this far tells you everything about how seriously Washington takes accountability when the accountable person has the right friends. I ran a business through that shutdown. Lost two employees permanently, not furloughed, gone. Nobody in that building faced any consequences for any of it. At minimum I want to know what he actually said versus what he said he said.
