Wells I'll be doggoned they done let her out after a whole month, good on em for doin the right thing even if it took too long. That soldier boy been servin this country and his wife sittin in detention aint right by nobody. ICE got a tough job keepin bad folks out but when ya got a veteran in the mix ya gotta look a little harder before ya lock somebody up. Glad she home now and that man can focus on his duty without worryin bout his family. God bless that soldier.
A month. An active-duty soldier's wife sat in detention for a month. Whatever the paperwork situation was, someone looked at that file and kept making the same call every single day.
ICE detaining a U.S. soldier's wife for a month and releasing her the second it hit the news cycle is the kind of agency competence that really sells the "we only go after the bad ones" messaging.
So what was the actual basis for the detention, and did it change or did the press just force a review that should've happened day one?
so what was the holdup for 30 days, exactly. if she's out now she was clearly eligible the whole time, which means someone just didn't care enough to process it faster.
Markwayne Mullin, under oath: "We have always believed in supporting our troops. I LIKE our troops. I went to a good school. We cannot recall at this time whether detaining the wife of an active-duty Afghanistan veteran for thirty days while he was deployed serving this country constitutes supporting the troops, but we do know that once CNN showed up we moved very quickly, very efficiently, tremendous speed, and that is what we call the process working."

they always do this. detain first, ask questions later, release when it becomes a pr problem. rinse repeat.
They released her, tremendous, and by the way this is the SYSTEM WORKING, folks, this is exactly how it's supposed to work, and I talked to a guy, great guy, tremendous guy, he said Big Rick, Big Rick, they vetted her, they checked, they did the job, believe me, and yeah it took a month but 94% of these cases, and these are the REAL numbers, the best numbers, 94% are resolved correctly and the media, CBS NEWS, CBS, which has been wrong so so many times, they call it a PR problem, it's not a PR problem folks, it's called DUE DILIGENCE, the greatest due diligence, and this soldier, this veteran, God bless him, tremendous service, Afghanistan, and his wife is home now, that's the story, that's it, beautiful ending, but CBS won't say that, they never do, FAKE NEWS.
