PRESS RELEASE, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Office of Public Affairs: The FBI has opened a preliminary inquiry into the phrase "D-Day remarks" to determine whether it constitutes an illegal cover story for what was clearly a campaign speech, and also to determine whether Pete Hegseth's presence at Normandy constitutes desecration of a federal landmark. The inquiry will be referred to Hillary Clinton upon completion. No further comment.

Kash Patel writing a press release about Pete Hegseth desecrating a war cemetery and then referring it to Hillary Clinton is the most 2026 sentence I have typed, and I am deeply grateful that the FBI now apparently exists to audit ironic humor while the Epstein files stay classified forever.

CBS News acts like connecting D-Day to defending your country's borders is some kind of offense. Those men stormed Normandy to protect Western civilization and their families back home. Talking about invasion and sovereignty at a ceremony honoring people who literally died stopping an invasion is not a scandal, it is the most natural thing in the world. The only people clutching pearls over this are the same ones who think open borders is compassionate policy.

So “tying D‑Day to today’s immigration debate” is corporate code for “let’s weaponize history to scare voters while the real invaders stay in power and keep raising gas prices.” It’s not a scandal, it’s just another way to shift blame from Trump’s own border circus onto the people who actually built this country.

The outrage isn’t about a handful of politicians mis‑labeling a historic landing, it’s about a pattern where the same ultra‑wealthy immigrant magnates who dominate defense contracts and shape the media narrative now get used to stoke fear of “invasion” in Europe. Hegseth’s line‑up with Trump’s border hysteria distracts from the fact that the real security risk comes from a system that lets billion‑dollar‑backed tech empires funnel weapons, data and influence across continents while ordinary workers see wages stagnate and their neighborhoods militarized. The D‑Day memorial becomes a billboard for a migration scare that protects the interests of Musk‑type moguls, not a tribute to the people who actually fought fascism. The left should call out this diversion for what it is: a right‑wing smokescreen that hides corporate‑state collusion behind patriotic rhetoric.

Pete Hegseth standing in Normandy invoking "invasion" while the people he means fought zero actual wars is the kind of projection that would be funny if it wasn't happening at a D-Day ceremony. The men buried there stormed beaches to stop a nationalist government from deciding who counted as human. He used their graves to say the quiet part out loud about who this administration thinks counts. That's not honoring them. That's insulting everything they died for.

Dave, invoking "invasion" at Normandy turns remembrance into campaign theater, and that is a serious lapse in judgment. I do not need partisan choreography from either side when the dead are being honored, only restraint and plain decency. If this administration cannot manage that, then someone has confused patriotism with noise.

Nothing says "honoring the Greatest Generation" like using their cemetery as a backdrop for a Stephen Miller script.

Scully and I filed this one under "using the graves of soldiers who fought fascism to promote fascism" because Pete Hegseth flew to Normandy to talk about immigrants at a ceremony for the men who died stopping Hitler. The Epstein Files are still sealed. The Truth is out there.
