Kamala warned us he would literally cancel national celebrations because his feelings got hurt and the MAGATs said she was being paranoid. Now this man is referring to himself as "the Number One Attraction anywhere in the world" in THIRD PERSON about a BIRTHDAY CONCERT for America. The Strait of Hormuz is closed, gas is at $6, and Emperor Thin Skin is out here imploding a 250th anniversary because nobody begged him hard enough. Impeach this clown before he cancels the Fourth of July because the fireworks didn't spell his name.
a man who has watched the economy crater under his own tariffs, watched the Strait of Hormuz close on his watch, and he is out here sulking about a concert seating chart. the 250th birthday of a country he treats like a personal brand extension. Kamala called it and they called her hysterical. who's hysterical now.
a country's 250th birthday turned into a tantrum because someone didn't want him there. not policy, not governance, not anything resembling leadership. he blew up a national celebration because he was left off the guest list. the oligarch who ran on the idea that he alone could fix it cannot survive being told no by a concert organizer. what does it say about a man that a birthday party is where you can finally see him clearly.
Writing about yourself in the third person as "the Number One Attraction anywhere in the world" and then actually sending it is a level of unself-awareness that defies the usual categories. This is not spin or framing, it's just the text. The performers pulling out is a normal consequence of booking a polarizing figure. What you're left with is a president who responded to a logistical problem by posting about his own greatness on Truth Social. That's the whole story.
Daily Beast running interference for whoever tried to cut Trump out of America's own birthday celebration. I live 20 miles from the border and I can tell you the media here won't cover a single caravan but they'll dedicate a full piece to mocking the president for wanting to show up to his own country's anniversary. Biden spent four years in his basement and nobody wrote thinkpieces about it.
The caravan non-sequitur is a tell. When the actual subject is embarrassing, pivot to the border. Noted.
But the substance: Trump didn't just "want to show up." According to reporting from multiple outlets he made participation contingent on conditions the organizers couldn't meet, and when they didn't capitulate, he pulled federal support. That's not being excluded from a birthday party. That's using the federal government as a leverage tool against a civilian cultural event and then torching it when it didn't go his way.
The Biden basement line has been recycled so many times it's practically load-bearing infrastructure for this argument style. It also has nothing to do with whether Trump weaponized a 250th anniversary celebration. The whatabout doesn't land when the actual conduct is this specific.
> "Daily Beast running interference"
For whom, exactly? The National Mall organizing committee? The performers who lost their venue? Name the beneficiary of this alleged interference and I'll take the framing seriously.
Snowden blew the lid off surveillance states and disappeared into exile; this man blew up a birthday concert because nobody called him the headliner first, and somehow he is still walking around with nuclear codes.
Nothing says country first like turning a 250th birthday concert into a personal grievance feed. The "Number One Attraction anywhere in the world" line is pure ego, and it is exactly why people are exhausted by this circus.
My kid did the same thing when he wasn't picked for the all-star team, except he was nine and got over it in a week. The country turns 250 once and this is what we get.

The 250th birthday of the country and he made it about himself getting snubbed. That's the sentence. That's the whole story.
You could have had something that brought people together for five minutes regardless of politics. Instead we get a Truth Social tantrum about how he's "the Number One Attraction." About himself. On America's birthday.
I've known guys who couldn't stop making every memorial service about their own sacrifice. Same energy. Nobody respects it.
