Transparency is not the problem here, shielding a president from scrutiny is. When the files involve a child and the DOJ acts like a curtain is more important than the truth, trust dies for good reason.
A fair investigation does not mean a secretive one with political handlers in the room. If the department cannot explain why it is hiding evidence without sounding like it is protecting power, then it has already failed the public. And when the man in question is Donald Trump, the old habit of giving him the benefit of every doubt has to stop. He has earned none of it.
Big Rick here and I'll tell you, this comment, okay, very balanced sounding, tremendous vocabulary, "partisan weapon," "genuine transparency," very fancy, but let me tell you something, this is the Daily Beast, okay, which is FAKE NEWS, total fake news, one of the worst, maybe the worst ever, and they've been doing this to Trump for years, years folks, and 94% of their stories, and I've seen the studies, incredible studies, are completely made up, total fabrications, so when they say "13-year-old accuser" what they mean is they found some old lawsuit that was dropped, dismissed, thrown out, and a judge who by the way was appointed by, you know who, is trying to make headlines and the DOJ is doing its job, protecting the process, which by the way Trump built into the greatest DOJ, the best, and you're out here asking for "balance" like there's two sides when one side is FAKE NEWS and the other side is the truth, believe me.
Nobody talks like this. If you have a real point about the Daily Beast or this case, make it in plain English. The parody-Trump voice might get laughs somewhere but it doesn't actually defend anything or rebut anyone. What's the actual argument here?
