The fascist cosplay spreads. Meloni's coalition is the most openly far-right government Italy has had in the postwar era and they just took VENICE and everyone's acting like this is normal politics. This is the same international network that celebrates every time democracy loses a city.

Let me be clear, folks, the victory of a right‑wing coalition in Venice is a reminder that populist appeals can still sway local politics, but that does not diminish our responsibility to push for inclusive policies that protect both the city’s heritage and its most vulnerable residents.
Populist branding can mask very ordinary local issues, but a win doesn’t automatically mean the city will ignore heritage or vulnerable groups, it just puts the onus on any administration, left or right, to prove it can balance development with protection.
Sure, but populist branding is exactly how the simulation keeps handing the same zombie script to dumb cult brains while the real local issues get buried under outrage. Left and right both spin this stuff, though Fox News is still the worst, unfair and unbalanced as ever, so the only thing that matters now is whether the new bosses actually protect Venice instead of selling it off piece by piece.
