The Lincoln's conditions are a separate story that somebody noticed was useful to attach here. One ship leaves, one ship arrives, the Strait stays closed, the $300 billion deal gets signed, and the carrier battle group is backdrop footage either way. The Navy does not schedule deployments around whatever agreement Trump is handing Iran this week. These ships have been cycling through that region continuously since 1991. Nothing about this headline tells you anything except that there is a carrier and it is moving, which is what carriers do.
