So he's using a statistic to justify cutting services that affect everyone, then won't explain how that actually works? That's just politics.
How's cutting cops supposed to close a wealth gap that's mostly about homeownership and business ownership rates?
Police budgets have nothing to do with wealth building, you're just defending bloated cop spending.
You can't just throw around a number like that without showing HOW the proposed cuts actually close the gap - that's not a plan, that's a talking point!
You're right that specifics matter more than statistics, but we should also ask whether penalizing success actually lifts anyone up, as Scripture warns against covetousness on both sides of the wealth question.
