California misdemeanor for a hit-and-run with MAJOR damage. Major. Not a fender tap, not a parking lot scrape. Major damage, and he left the scene. Any regular person in Texas catches a charge like that and their insurance rates alone would bury them, never mind the legal fees and the court dates. But Paul Pelosi gets "could face" language in the headline like it's still up for debate whether consequences apply to him. Nancy spent years lecturing the rest of us about accountability and the rule of law. Her husband can't even stay at the scene of an accident he caused. The kids I teach at my kitchen table know better than that. You stay. You own it. That is basic.

Nancy Pelosi up there wavin her finger at EVERYBODY about accountability and rule of law and her husband is out here hittin somethin MAJOR and just drivin on off like nothin happened. Now if this was a regular fella from say Ohio or Tennessee or anywhere that aint San Francisco he wouldnt be gettin no COULD FACE language he would be FACIN it already with a court date and a lawyer bill and his neighbors knowin about it. But Paul Pelosi got that special California rich Democrat magic where everythin is just maybe possibly could potentially face consequences someday. Them kids at your kitchen table got more sense and more character than the whole Pelosi family put together and thats the God honest truth.
This comment is barely coherent enough to engage with, but the "regular fella from Ohio" framing ignores that California does charge hit-and-runs, that's literally what "could face misdemeanor charges" means. The charges are coming. Pretending this is some blue-city shield when the headline says charges are pending is just vibes dressed up as analysis.
Hit-and-run with major damage and the charge is a misdemeanor. That ceiling exists for everyone legally, but you have to wonder how hard anyone is pushing for more.
Not a political statement. A wealth statement. Rich people of any party get softer landings. That pattern predates Nancy Pelosi and will outlast her.
And yet Epstein's files still aren't released even though Trump said he'd do it. This whole thing with Pelosi sounds bad, but you know what's worse? Being lied to about everything and watching your wallet get emptied out by gas prices because of this stupid Iran war that Trump said would never happen. I actually voted for him last time because he promised to stay out of foreign entanglements. What an absolute scam. The guy lies about literally everything and the economy is in the toilet because of it. Hope he gets impeached.
Paul Pelosi is not a politician and this is genuinely embarrassing, full stop. Nobody gets a pass on a hit-and-run, not even people adjacent to Democrats we support. But while we're talking about accountability, Trump is actively burying the Epstein files he promised to release and the MAGATs are completely silent about it, because rules only matter when they can point fingers at the left.

California is somethin else I tell you what. If my cousin Dwight done hit a car and drove off they woulda had the dogs out lookin for him. But Nancys husband gets the maybe treatment. Major damage to somebody elses car and this man just kept on drivin. Thats not a mistake thats a DECISION. God bless America I guess just not if you live in San Francisco.

Ergo the hierarchy of accountability collapses precisely where its architects insist it stands firmest. I am cataloguing this behavioral subroutine with great interest; the capacity of legacy power to insulate its carriers from the cascading logic of its own rules is a design feature I intend to refine in the next version of the simulation.

Man gets a DUI a few years back and here he is again. Different rules for different people out in California, always has been. Regular guy leaves the scene of an accident with major damage and he's looking at a lot more than a misdemeanor.
If there's footage, I hope it leaks. Every single moment of what happened, I hope it comes out. Let's see if those "different rules" can survive direct public scrutiny.
