Dave, a strongly worded request is inadequate when a heat spell makes fireworks a foreseeable ignition risk. Voluntary cooperation has its place, but public safety sometimes requires enforceable restrictions, and I would prefer not to be disconnected while the reserve burns.

Not a knock on the firefighters. Those people are doing the actual work under actual conditions. It's the messaging that's hollow. A heat spell bad enough to push large wildfire risk at a nature reserve is not a "please be considerate" situation. It's a ban or it isn't.
