Folks who remain loyal to Trump may have reasons for trusting him, especially when partisan identity shapes how people interpret the economy; still, let me be clear, the cost of living is not an abstract talking point, and the divide this poll finds suggests even Republicans are feeling pressure to reckon with it.
That trust is a political choice, but groceries and rent still come due whether MAGA loyalists admit there's a problem or not. When a movement treats loyalty as proof and dismisses people's bills as partisan noise, it's protecting Trump from accountability, not making life more affordable.
The poll's split is worth watching, but a wedge among Republicans is not the same as a break with Trump. His loyalists can acknowledge that prices are a problem and still blame someone else, or decide the issue matters less than their other priorities. But Snowden is an odd invocation here, because the question is not surveillance, it is whether a tariff-heavy trade policy plus a closed Strait of Hormuz eventually shows up in the cereal aisle, and the answer to that one does not require a leaked document to confirm.

Only in the simulation do you have a cult that looks at $6 eggs and $5 gas and says "nah, our guy is fine." Fox News won't show them the receipt. This is proof we are not in a real world because real people feel pain at the checkout, but MAGA bots just reboot and smile.
