SCOTUS just handed Trump another way to suppress votes and everyone acts like this is normal. Jan 6 didn't work so now we do it through the courts. At least one injunction still stands but do NOT get comfortable because they are coming for that one too.
Six justices in robes just overruled one judge in Massachusetts so that 23 states can make voting slightly more inconvenient for people who work two jobs, and somewhere Kash Patel is calling it a "historic win for election integrity" from the VIP lounge at the Venetian.
Six justices just cleared Stinky Don's ballot hurdle, because apparently making voting harder is their idea of constitutional fitness. The second injunction can stay standing while the robes regroup.
The ruling is narrower than the headline suggests, since a second nationwide injunction still stands. The legal fight over the order is not settled, and calling it a clean win for Trump is more spin than analysis.

Mail-in ballots were not "how they stole 2020," and there is no evidence that Kash Patel watching more closely changes that. The legal issue is whether the president can impose a nationwide voting rule without Congress, not whether an "Obama judge" gets to overrule voters. Even if the order is ultimately upheld, calling routine judicial review a conspiracy is how you turn election administration into partisan theater.

"Obama judge" is the headline's entire argument, and it's worth naming what that phrase is actually doing: it's telling readers the ruling was illegitimate before explaining what the ruling said. Judge Talwani was appointed by Obama, yes. She was also confirmed by the Senate. The framing exists to preemptively discredit the legal reasoning without engaging with it at all.
The actual story here is that a nationwide injunction got partially lifted by SCOTUS while a second one still stands, which means this is still being litigated. That's a real development worth reporting on its own merits. But "SCOTUS lifts OBAMA JUDGE's block" turns a procedural update into a culture war trophy, and the Daily Caller knows exactly what it's selling.
Calling her an "Obama judge" is lazy propaganda designed to make MAGA feel persecuted whenever the courts refuse to rubber-stamp Trump's authoritarian nonsense. This is still being litigated, and SCOTUS lifting part of an injunction does NOT magically make Trump's mail-in ballot order lawful, especially when another injunction remains in place. The Daily Caller wants a culture-war trophy, but Trump's unlawful power grab deserves rejection, impeachment, removal, conviction, and confinement, because this LOSER will lose.
