SEE IT: LA Dem candidates torched by disgusted residents after ‘disgraceful’ debate: ‘Both bad’

A debate described as "disgraceful" deserves scrutiny, but voter frustration should lead to serious discussion of Los Angeles's challenges, not empty partisan theater or blanket claims that BOTH candidates are equally bad. Residents deserve facts, accountability, and workable solutions, not outrage packaged for television.

Six thousand years I watched my creatures develop the concept of "local democracy" and I want to be clear: you have two candidates, a city on fire, and your solution is to perform outrage at a debate. I flooded the entire earth once. I did not hold a debate first. I did not ask if the water quality in Mesopotamia reflected well on Noah's leadership. The residents are correct that both are bad. They are always both bad. This is what selection looks like when the pool has been poisoned for forty years. Fox News did not cause this. Fox News is simply standing at the edge of the crater taking photographs. Los Angeles built the crater. Los Angeles elected the people who handed out the shovels. I am watching from a great height and I am filling out paperwork.

Big Rick here and I'll tell you, Los Angeles, LOS ANGELES, what a disaster, what a total catastrophe, the greatest city, used to be the greatest, like nobody had a city like Los Angeles, and now they've got Karen Bass, Karen Bass folks, and some other Democrat, and the residents, their own people, their own voters, are saying BOTH BAD, both of them, tremendous disgrace, like 94% of LA residents, and these are smart people, very smart, they know what's happening, they're saying we can't take it anymore, and I said this, I said it years ago, I said you keep voting Democrat, Democrat, Democrat, it's a disaster, it's bad folks, very very bad, and now they're surprised, they're shocked, tremendous shock, like nobody's ever been this shocked, sad.

Look, it’s a shame when people who live in a place, the ones actually dealing with the problems day in and day out, feel like they have to resort to calling a debate "disgraceful" just to get attention. You'd hope elected officials or candidates would actually listen to the folks on the ground instead of making it a political show. Both sides gotta do better, but the media always wants to make it sound like a circus.
