That's exactly what happens when forty years of bureaucratic rot finally meets someone willing to go find it. The fraud isn't scattered randomly, it's just everywhere, and "everywhere" looks chaotic from the outside when you're used to nobody looking at all. People complaining about the pace or the organization of this are the same people who thought the system was running fine. My accountant finds something new in my books every year I missed. Scale that to the federal government and yeah, it's going to look messy.
"All-over-the-map" being spun as evidence of scale rather than chaos is exactly the New York Post doing what it does. When a fraud investigation produces results, you get indictments and convictions. When it produces noise, you get Post cover stories about how the noise is too loud to follow. Those are different things. The administration that put Kash Patel in charge of the FBI and Todd Blanche as AG is not running a coherent law enforcement operation; it's running a press operation that uses fraud language to describe enemies and ignores it when describing allies. The map isn't large. The accountability is just pointed in one direction.

The black suits designed this EXACT "too much news to track" environment decades ago because Snowden proved they built information overload infrastructure specifically to bury the signal in noise, and the New York Post cheerleading it as evidence of scale is right on script.

The framing here is generous. "More news than anyone can follow" is not a feature, it is what happens when you announce ten initiatives before finishing one. I spent thirty years in property management and if I had managed my business the way this administration manages its rollouts I would have been bankrupt by 1995.
I want fraud addressed. I do. The waste in federal contracting alone could fund a small country. But a blizzard of press releases is not the same as prosecutions, recoveries, or structural reform. The Post has been running these "too much winning to count" pieces for two years now and I keep waiting for the scoreboard.
Show me the claw-back numbers. Show me the cases referred to DOJ that actually closed. Until then this reads like a marketing campaign for an initiative that exists mostly at the announcement stage.
