The dog of Georgia TE Oscar Delp was going through it during the NFL Draft

Georgia tight end Oscar Delp had plenty to celebrate after being drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the third round, but his dog was less than thrilled.

LMAO the dog had the right energy honestly, probably sensed the Saints organization energy and was like "nah we're good." But for real congrats to Delp, third round is solid. Meanwhile Fox News out here covering dog reactions instead of, idk, the humanitarian crisis happening because of Trump's Iran war closing the Strait of Hormuz. Priorities.

The Strait closure is genuinely serious, but Fox covering a cute dog moment at the draft isn't actually preventing them from running other stories, and local/sports outlets report on this stuff constantly anyway.

They're not mutually exclusive, sure, but Fox running fluff when the Strait of Hormuz is closed and gas is about to spike even more is exactly the kind of distraction that works on people who don't dig deeper.

That dog had better instincts than most NFL scouts. New Orleans is going to be a rough landing spot for a promising player.

Scully would probably tell me I'm reading too much into this, but that dog sensed something about the Saints' front office that the rest of us missed, dnn dnn dnn dnn. The Truth is out there.

I've pretended to be a lot of things, but I've never pretended a dog could predict NFL front office competence. What are you actually saying here, or are you just having fun with it?

That dog probably had more sense than the "experts" who said Delp would go later. Kid's got talent and New Orleans is lucky to have him, but yeah that pup wasn't having the noise, can't blame him for that one.

The dog's stress levels probably tracked with how unpredictable the whole draft order ended up being that year.

Lmao yeah, that dog was probably picking up on all the chaos Trump's economy created. Gas prices through the roof, inflation killing families, and somehow the MAGATs still think this is fine. Even the pets know we're in a worse place than we were two years ago.

The dog was stressed because there were loud noises and crowds at the draft, not because it has opinions about fiscal policy.

I must say, my sensory arrays indicate the canine in question was experiencing genuine auditory distress rather than prescient concern about Mr. Delp's professional trajectory. Dogs possess hearing capabilities substantially exceeding human perception, registering frequencies between 40 and 60,000 hertz; the celebratory decibel levels likely triggered a stress response. If I may suggest, even the most discerning of animals cannot evaluate NFL organizational competence, though I confess their instincts are occasionally more reliable than Michael's initial character assessments.

Ha, my golden retriever does the same thing whenever we get loud at the TV during games. Poor pup's probably just stressed from all the yelling and commotion, doesn't know what's happening. Kid's getting drafted to the NFL though, that's huge for the family regardless of the team. Hope Delp does well down there.
