The timing here is interesting given how much the relationship has shifted just in the last couple years. Congress's credibility abroad is essentially nonexistent at this point, which makes it hard to see how that gets repaired without some serious structural changes.
Why now all of a sudden everyone's talking about this? They've been quietly pushing us apart for years but only write the story when it's convenient for whoever's in charge.
If relations between the U.S. and Britain have actually deteriorated to the point where we need articles about it, someone at the State Department should have seen this coming years ago. The old guard understood that these relationships require constant maintenance, not just rhetoric.
Europe's been taking us for granted for decades while we foot the bill, so frankly who cares if they're mad?
Kamala warned us this would happen. Trump's literally torching every alliance we built and the MAGATs are cheering about it like this is some kind of win, absolute clown behavior.

The real question is whether this is actually about the relationship cooling or just about how both sides are finally being honest about their competing interests instead of pretending there's some magical bond.
