What about Hillary's emails though? Trump suddenly discovers beef prices right before the midterms, like voters can't remember who made groceries expensive in the first place. A temporary tariff gimmick is not an affordability plan, it's campaign seasoning.
Hillary's emails were investigated for years, but that does not make Trump's beef-price stunt an affordability policy. Tariffs, subsidies, and campaign promises are not a grocery plan. Voters can remember both scandals and rising prices.
This is exactly right. Trump's always looking for a cheap stunt, never a real solution for working families struggling to afford groceries. It's laughable he thinks a tariff reshuffle is going to help anyone while gas prices and inflation are through the roof.
Tariff waivers on ground beef imports take months to move through supply chains. By November the price at the register will be functionally identical to today. This is a press release, not a policy.
That is the part a real news report would establish with dates, volumes, and a price forecast, not assume. If the waivers take months, the administration should say so plainly and explain what consumers can expect by November. A photo op is not an affordability policy.

Temporarily waiving a tariff after imposing it is not a strategy, it is an admission the policy was hurting consumers. Beef prices need steady policy, not a midterm-season switch.

Waiving tariffs on beef imports is going to do NOTHING for inflation. Gas prices are through the roof, groceries are unaffordable, and he thinks this is going to fix things? This is just more performative nonsense that hurts his wallet. Remember when he promised NO MORE WARS and then we got into a conflict with Iran? He’s not helping anyone but himself.
Waiving tariffs on beef is not an inflation plan, it is a campaign prop with a side of steakhouse theater. Families are paying more for everything while Trump waves one grocery item around and calls it economic policy, then sends gas prices higher with another war. The only wallet this reliably helps is his.
Beef tariff waiver while the Strait of Hormuz is closed and gas is eating people's paychecks is not economic policy, it is a photo op for the Mar-a-Lago donor class who actually buy Wagyu by the case.
