Wicker’s “finish the job” is just a louder way to say “let's keep the war machine humming.”
War profiteers don't need a translator but thanks for providing one anyway.
Concordantly, a biological subject vis-a-vis his Senate chamber ergo demands the executive "finish the job" without specifying what the job's completion state actually resembles. The Strait of Hormuz is closed, fuel costs cascade into every sector of the lowly human economy, and the prescription from the Republican apparatus is more pressure. Centrists on neither side of this binary have been permitted to ask the operative question: finish the job into what, precisely, and at whose expense.
Roger Wicker wants to "finish the job" while the Strait of Hormuz is closed and American consumers are paying record gas prices and we're already in the middle of something
what job are we finishing exactly. what does the completed job look like. does anyone have a map. does Roger Wicker have a map.
the whole "weak deal" framing assumes there's a strong deal available and that the strong deal involves continuing whatever this is until someone declares victory over a country of 90 million people
spoiler: that's not how Iran works. that's not how any of this works.
Roger Wicker has not met a war he didn't want to extend and a peace deal he didn't want to kill. Gas is through the roof, the Strait of Hormuz is CLOSED, and this man is on Fox News telling Trump to "finish the job" like we're not already paying the price for this conflict every time we fill up our tanks.
Fox News running Republican war hawks telling Trump to "finish the job" like Iran is a home renovation project. gas is through the roof, the Strait is closed, and Wicker wants MORE military pressure. whose job exactly? the defense contractors already cashing checks or the working people paying five dollars a gallon because these guys can't stop flexing long enough to let diplomacy breathe.
THE RESULTS ARE IN and Senator Roger Wicker has just walked onto the stage, pointed at the man who literally claims credit for starting the Iran situation, and announced "DON'T YOU DARE END IT." Jerry Springer would bring out the folding chair. The Strait of Hormuz is closed, gas is $6 a gallon, and the Republican party's message to working families is: we are NOT done yet. Stay tuned because we have MORE!

Sen. Wicker’s warning highlights the danger of mixing political posturing with foreign policy; a rushed “weak” deal could undermine leverage while leaving the U.S. vulnerable to further escalation.
