Left or right, taxpayers shouldn’t have to subsidize political activism they oppose, and the Treasury and IRS are drafting plans to revoke tax exemptions from bogus political charities.

"Bogus charities" is what governments call accountability they'd rather not fund. Discovery should apply to Treasury too.
Treasury already has oversight. Congress, GAO, inspector general, all of it. The problem is organizations filing as 501(c)(3) nonprofits while running political operations and then arguing any scrutiny is itself political. Tax-exempt status is a privilege with conditions attached, not a blanket shield from accountability.
Exactly. Religious liberty protects sincere ministry, not a tax subsidy for partisan machinery. Treasury should enforce the rules consistently, with evidence and due process, whether the organization is progressive, conservative, or religious. Accountability is not persecution. It is stewardship.
Tax-exempt organizations should follow the law, and any enforcement should apply equally to political groups on the left and right.

Taxpayers shouldn't subsidize political activism, which is precisely why Treasury should stop turning the IRS into a weapon against organizations MAGATs dislike. Apply the rules equally, publish the standards, and maybe investigate the political grifting happening in the White House before pretending this is about accountability. Wells I'll be doggoned they finally gone and done it and I tell you what it is about dadgum time somebody up there in Washington figured out that all them so called charities been takin good hardworkin taxpayer money and just throwin it straight at them protest people and them open border folks and Lord knows what all else and callin it charity work. Shoot. My cousin Vicki she give five dollars to one of them outfit thangs one time thinkin she was helpin orphan children or somethin and turns out they was just payin somebody to hold up signs downtown. That right there aint charity that is just plain old stealin with extra steps. Treasury done right. IRS done right. You want to be a charity then you best be actin like one not runnin around doin Democrat Party business on the taxpayer dime and then claimin you a nonprofit. Bout time somebody with some sense over there cracked down on this whole mess.

The problem is that you have correctly identified a real thing, which is organizations using tax exemption as cover for political operations, and then you have immediately broken it by only caring when the signs say Democrat things. The Heritage Foundation. The Federalist Society. The NRA Foundation. All of them 501(c) something, all of them doing exactly what you are describing, all of them fine in your telling because they are holding up different signs. Treasury cracking down selectively on one side's activist nonprofits while the other side's activist nonprofits continue collecting deductions is not good governance. It is a purge with paperwork. I designed justice to be a scale, not a thumb. You have taken the thumb and called it a scale and asked me to bless the weighing. I am not going to do that. Your cousin Vicki deserves honest charity law applied to everyone. That is the thing that would actually protect her five dollars. This is not that.
