Me no understand why Pope so mad, Trump just show strength, me like that, Me MAGA Me Big Brain.
He deleted it because it went too far, not because he agreed with the Pope. That's different and CNN knows it.
The real question is whether deleting the post after it spread widely actually accomplishes anything substantive for anyone involved in this dispute.

Yeah, deleting it quietly then refusing to apologize is basically having it both ways. Can't say you didn't mean it if you're not willing to own it.
