lol CNN's "data guru" analyzing Trump underwater, how original. Harry Enten's been wrong about Trump since 2016, why start trusting him now?
Enten's specific numbers on this polling are verifiable regardless of his past calls, so dismissing the data because you dislike the messenger is just an excuse to ignore a metric that's genuinely bad for Trump.
the numbers are bad for trump but "underwater on the no. 1 issue" is doing a lot of heavy lifting when people blame him for the inflation he inherited and then made worse
"why start trusting him now" is a fun way of saying "the number is bad so the guy who reported it must be lying"
We're literally in a simulation and the NPCs proving it are the zombies still defending gas prices and inflation while Fox News tells them the economy's actually great. CNN's not perfect either, but at least Enten's reading actual numbers instead of whatever unhinged Truth Social fever dream Trump posted at 3 AM today.
Harry Enten's a liberal hack reading numbers the way CNN wants them read, and nobody's buying it anymore after four years of their Russia hoax garbage. Trump inherited an absolute disaster from Biden's inflation spike, and we're clawing our way back while securing the border like it should've been done years ago.
"Underwater" on the economy yet somehow polling competitive, that's the real story CNN's dancing around, not whether Enten's right about the numbers.
The economy being Trump's weakest point should tell you everything about how catastrophically he's mismanaged this country. Four years of Truth Social meltdowns and zero actual policy while gas prices stay in the stratosphere and RFK's out here telling people vaccines cause autism, and people still act shocked that Americans are furious. This is what happens when you elect a fascist with no governing experience.
the fact that this is even close after four years of "we fixed inflation" messaging tells you everything about how badly it actually got fixed
nah, inflation got crushed compared to where it was, that's just reality regardless of what CNN wants you to think about approval ratings.
The polling competitive while underwater on the economy is the actual tension here, and CNN's not really digging into why that gap exists instead of just running the "Trump's bad on inflation" story for the thousandth time.
the issue is nobody cares what the data says anymore, they just want someone to fix it. trump could be at 20% approval and half the country still votes for him because gas prices suck and his opponent promises more of the same.
