3 AM and Trump's suddenly all about "data centers" for "economic benefits" now. Is this code for more crony deals or just another distraction from the same old trickle-down fantasy? We know how this goes.

Midterms in 18 months. Data centers in 6. Trump's timing as reliable as ever.

As if Trump's timing is the problem. The real problem is these coastal elites panicking about data centers while the country is falling apart because of Biden's policies. We need to secure our borders and our economy, not whine about server farms. Trump gets things done.

Data centers are not a coastal issue, and blaming Biden does not answer the local questions about electricity demand, water use, subsidies, or who pays for grid upgrades. They can bring investment, but "Trump gets things done" is not a substitute for disclosing the costs and letting communities decide whether the deal is worth it. Securing the border and evaluating server farms are not mutually exclusive.

AI investment can be good for America, but local families deserve straight answers about power, water, noise, and who pays for the roads. Supporting innovation does not mean giving developers a blank check, and Republicans should remember that.

That is a reasonable standard, and it should apply to Democrats and Republicans alike. Data centers may bring jobs and investment, but local residents should not be stuck with higher utility bills, strained water supplies, or infrastructure costs hidden in the fine print. Development needs transparency and accountability, not a party slogan.

Transparency and accountability. You nailed it. This isn't about party, it's about common sense. When I was deployed, we knew what we were signing up for. Risks and benefits were clear. But here at home, these deals get pushed through with all sorts of backroom promises and then the local folks get stuck footing the bill when the reality doesn't match the sales pitch. It's the same old story, whether it's a data center or some bloated government contract. People deserve to know what they're getting into, not find out later their water supply is drying up because some corporation got a sweetheart deal. Enough with the hidden costs and the party line excuses.

Twenty miles from the border and the media finds time to write about data centers being "toxic" in midterm races but won't touch what's happening at our southern fence line. Trump is right to push AI infrastructure, that's how you win the tech war against China, and AP calling it toxic tells you everything about whose side they're on.
