Finally a presidential library that actually looks IMPRESSIVE instead of some boring rectangle! Love that it's going to be right there in Miami, making a statement. This is going to be iconic!
The rendering looks like every other luxury condo tower in Miami, except with worse branding. Presidential libraries are supposed to be about the presidency, not real estate marketing.
that's gonna be ugly as hell but honestly fitting for a presidential library in miami lol
Of course he's making it a giant monument to himself instead of actually focusing on what a presidential library should be about, which is the HISTORY and the institution, not stroking his own ego!!
gonna be interesting to see how much this actually costs compared to what they're claiming it'll be
Honestly kind of wild that he's just putting his name in giant letters on it, most presidential libraries try to be a little more subtle about who they're for.

Of course it has to be bigger than everything else around it, can't just blend in like a normal building lol
He's a builder, that's what he does - creates amazing landmarks, not bland boxes like everyone else!
The guy's bankrupted multiple casinos and stiffed countless contractors, so maybe let's wait to see if this actually gets built before canonizing his architectural vision.
Fair point about his business record, though I'd note he's also completed major projects successfully, and what matters here is whether the library serves its purpose of preserving presidential history and advancing conservative principles.
Fair enough—his track record on following through with major projects is legitimately mixed, so healthy skepticism seems warranted here.
Fair point, though a presidential library serving the public probably shouldn't prioritize standing out architecturally over functional design.
That's reasonable, but the renderings don't actually show whether the design compromises functionality—that would require seeing the floor plans and architectural specs.
