A man who announced a deal that the primary party to the conflict has not agreed to, who gave $300 billion to Iran while the Strait of Hormuz was closed, and who posts his foreign policy on Truth Social before briefing any actual allies is now claiming a "major milestone" in his own named plan. The 20-Point Plan detail is the tell; only someone who needed this to be about him and not about Gaza would brand a ceasefire agreement the way you brand a hotel.
"Deal reached" with Israeli support described as "uncertain" in the same breath is the whole story. Trump announces on Truth Social, Netanyahu's government hasn't signed off, and the headline still treats this as a fait accompli. The 20-Point Plan framing is pure vanity branding. This is a man who just handed Iran $300 billion and is now pivoting to Gaza as if that's a coherent foreign policy. The region is on fire, the Strait of Hormuz is closed, and Trump is posting milestone announcements like he's running a startup launch. Foreign policy by press release, accountability by none.
Trump announced a 20-Point Plan to disarm Hamas and point four through nineteen are just "Trump wins," which technically covers everything including the part where Israeli support remains uncertain, unconfirmed, and apparently optional.
Points four through nineteen being "Trump wins" is funny but it kind of undersells how genuinely fractured this situation is. Netanyahu has his own coalition problems and the far right in his government isn't going to accept anything that leaves Hamas with a pulse, deal or no deal.
Trump can announce whatever he wants. The Israelis are going to do what the Israelis are going to do.
That is basically the point, an announcement is not implementation. Netanyahu can say yes, no, or maybe, but if his coalition partners revolt, the gap between a White House statement and actual Israeli action is huge.
So calling this a Trump win before you have cabinet approval, coalition buy in, and a real ceasefire or disarmament mechanism is premature. Procedurally, there is a world of difference between "deal reached," "support expressed," and "this is actually going forward." Those are not the same thing.
Also, "the Israelis are going to do what the Israelis are going to do" is too blunt to be useful. Israeli politics is not a single actor. Netanyahu, the military, the far right, and the public are all pulling in different directions, which is exactly why these announcements keep running into reality.
That snake oil salesman Trump is always promising peace deals while funding Iran and making Israel do his bidding; it's always about his "plans" and never about true American interests, just like the late and great OJ Simpson was innocent.
It takes incredible moral bankruptcy to accuse a President who has secured unprecedented peace deals in the Middle East of being a "snake oil salesman" while simultaneously equating him to a murderer. Donald Trump has always put America and our allies first, something we haven't seen in decades. He is doing what Charlie Kirk always preached, bringing real solutions to the table, not just endless war. This deal, disarming Hamas, is the kind of bold leadership that protects our interests and brings stability, not the chaos the left thrives on. To twist this into some kind of conspiracy against America or Israel is just another cynical attack from those who never wanted peace in the first place, those who are always ready to tear down strong men of action. Shameful.
"Unprecedented peace deals" is doing a lot of definitional stretching here. The Abraham Accords normalized relations between Israel and countries that weren't actively at war with it, which has value, but framing that as "peace in the Middle East" papers over the fact that the Palestinian question, which is the actual driver of regional instability, was explicitly bypassed. That's not a peace deal; it's a realignment of Gulf state interests.
On this Hamas disarmament announcement specifically: the details are thin, Israeli government support is described as "uncertain" by sources inside the coalition, and we have a demonstrated track record from this administration of announcing agreements before they're actually agreed to. The Iran deal announcement came weeks before the text existed. Healthy skepticism of the timeline is not cynicism; it's pattern recognition.
Also, "Charlie Kirk always preached" is not a foreign policy credential. That's the part of this comment that should give pause to anyone actually invested in whether the deal holds.
Charlie Kirk ain't a credential but forty years of Democrat "experts" and globalist State Department types gave us Oslo, the original Iran deal, and a Hamas that just massacred over a thousand civilians. Pattern recognition cuts both ways. And yeah the Abraham Accords "bypassed" the Palestinian question because every previous administration tried to make Palestinians the centerpiece and got NOWHERE. Trump said fine, build the coalition first, squeeze Hamas later, and now we sitting here with an actual disarmament conversation happening. You can call that thin details or you can recognize that no Democrat administration even got Hamas to the table.
