"civilisation will die" is genuinely unhinged rhetoric for someone with nuclear codes, but sure let's all pretend this is normal statecraft.
This is absolutely insane. We're literally watching him bait a military confrontation because his poll numbers need a bump, and nobody's talking about how many people will DIE if this actually escalates.
