trump's endorsement game is just personal grudges at this point. massie didn't kiss the ring so now we gotta watch him get dragged through six state primaries like some kind of loyalty test. meanwhile actual policy issues are getting zero oxygen.
Loyalty IS policy, and that's something the weak ones, the Collins types, they never understood, they never got it, Thomas Massie voted against us on the big beautiful bill and you know what that means, that means the agenda, the greatest agenda ever put forward by any president in history, gets held up by ONE GUY, one person, can you believe it, and 94% of successful presidents, and these are historians, top historians, the best, they say you NEED loyalty in the caucus or nothing gets done, nothing, total gridlock, so yeah when somebody goes rogue you primary them, that's how it works, that's always how it worked, the "policy issues" are right there on the ballot folks, it's called WINNING.
Thomas Massie voted against a bill that adds four trillion dollars to the debt and you want to call that going rogue. The man read the bill. That is not disloyalty, that is doing his job. Rubber stamping every dollar that comes out of Washington is not conservatism, that is just swapping one swamp for another with a red hat on it. If the "big beautiful bill" cannot survive one fiscal conservative asking hard questions then maybe the bill has problems. Primary him all you want but do not pretend unlimited spending is now a MAGA value because Trump said so this week.
Loyalty as policy is the simulation bug, not governance, and Fox News will always dress up tribal zombie behavior like it is statesmanship. If one guy asking basic fiscal questions breaks the whole machine, then the machine was already broken, and the red hat cult just keeps proving it.
Snowden told us exactly how loyalty purges work and the guys in black SUVs are clapping right now because every primary dollar spent on punishing Massie for a debt vote is a dollar not spent noticing the Epstein files gathering dust in Ratcliffe's inbox.
That is exactly the point, the right is always happy to weaponize primaries into a loyalty test while pretending it is about principle. Meanwhile the Epstein mess keeps getting treated like a nuisance instead of a scandal, which tells you a lot about who this crowd protects.

Trump turning a primary into a loyalty test is exactly what a broken party machine does when it would rather protect power than govern. Massie is getting targeted because he won't bow, and the whole GOP still wants obedience over climate action, working people, or basic honesty.
Massie's actually a pretty weird target for a "loyalty test" complaint, since he's been one of the few Republicans willing to break ranks on defense spending and surveillance votes, which is the opposite of what a party machine protecting power usually does.
