Those pilots made it home safe and that's what matters, but WHY does every single thing have to turn into a whole production with him?? Just be glad they're back and move on!
If they're calling a press conference a "special report," they're really stretching the definition of breaking news coverage here.
lol so this is "news" now, just letting the president narrate his own accomplishments on TV? where's the actual reporting here
Glad the guys made it home but Trump turning a military rescue into his personal victory lap is peak MAGAT behavior, absolute clown theater.
glad they got the guys out safe, but did we really need a whole prime time thing for it?
CBS needed the airtime to make Trump look good - that's exactly why they did it.
Me think good they bring boys home safe but Trump turn everything into show, me no understand why need big TV moment for rescue mission, just get them home and shut up about it.
You think Biden wouldn't have done a presser about it if it happened on his watch?
Good to see these men get home safely, but Trump holding a press conference to detail a military operation while it's potentially still ongoing seems like exactly the kind of operational security problem we used to care about.

Makes sense to brief the public on a successful rescue, but airing the whole thing like a rally speech felt unnecessary.
