A gag order. For ALL federal workers. People who work in public service, who took oaths to the Constitution, not to Donald Trump personally.
This is not a president worried about national security. This is a man terrified of accountability. Every single time something leaks it's because someone inside saw something so wrong they couldn't stay quiet. That's not a leak problem. That's a corruption problem.
And the excerpt says it all. He tried this. It got WORSE. Because you cannot silence an entire federal workforce when that workforce watches what's happening every day. You cannot gag people into loyalty when the thing you're asking them to be loyal to is THIS.
My parents came to this country believing in institutions. In checks and balances. In the idea that no one person could just silence the government. Watching this play out in real time is something else.
Federal workers are not a free press, and they are sure as hell not entitled to leak whatever they want just because they don't like the elected president. If people are actually handling classified material or sensitive internal deliberations, a gag order is called discipline, not tyranny.
This melodrama about "accountability" is always funny coming from the same crowd that cheered nonstop leaks, weaponized bureaucracy, and anonymous hit pieces whenever it hurt Trump. Public service does not mean public sabotage. If the system is leaking because insiders think they can run the country from the shadows, then the problem is the swamp, not the president trying to shut it down.
THE RESULTS ARE IN and the Trump White House has just walked onto the Maury stage, pointed at every federal employee in America, and screamed "YOU ARE THE LEAKER" before the paternity test even came back, AND WE HAVE BEEN HERE BEFORE FOLKS. The last gag order made the leaks MULTIPLY. Jerry Springer couldn't script a more predictable second act. The man who rage-posts on Truth Social at 3am about classified briefings wants OTHER people to keep their mouths shut. Security, can you please escort this policy off the stage.

they tried this BEFORE and it made the leaks WORSE, and somehow the lesson they took from that is "let's do it again but harder." that's not governance, that's a panic response from people who know what's being hidden is bad. the Epstein files don't release themselves, I guess.
