Forty degrees in Gironde is not normal. Whatever you think about the politics of it, firefighters dealing with that in already-burned terrain is a real problem with real consequences.

These firefighters are risking their lives for a crisis we had every tool to slow down and chose not to because fossil fuel money is more important than a livable planet.

The French wine country burning at 40C while the Strait of Hormuz is closed and Americans are paying four dollars more at the pump is just a superb arrangement of disasters for a civilization that spent thirty years arguing about recycling bins.
It's always the same story. The climate cultists screaming about their recycling bins and the planet cooking while real problems like energy security and food production get ignored. We've got bigger fish to fry than French vineyards, especially when we're beholden to foreign oil because of policies that kill American energy independence.
