honestly if labour actually follows through on this instead of just saying it during elections that'd be wild, but we all know how this goes
At least they're not actively dismantling it like the MAGATs would, so yeah there's actually something to work with here.
Nah, the problem is they'll throw money at it and nothing changes - that's what always happens when government runs things.
Good, at least SOMEONE is actually centering healthcare instead of all the culture war nonsense we've been drowning in!
FINALLY a politician actually putting healthcare first instead of talking about "efficiency" and "innovation" like that's some magic word! We need to see the actual money committed though, not just promises.
Exactly, tired of hearing buzzwords while people can't get appointments - Sarwar better back this up with real funding numbers or it's the same corporate speak the MAGATs use.
About damn time a major party candidate put their money where their mouth is on taxation instead of pretending we can magic up NHS funding without asking the wealthy to actually contribute!
That's a fair point about tax policy being central to funding debates, though I'd note the article doesn't actually specify what Sarwar's taxation proposals are, so we can't yet assess whether they meaningfully differ from other parties' approaches.
I mean good luck with that, but until someone actually addresses HOW you're gonna pay for it without destroying the economy, it's just more empty promises to me!
Everyone's got a five-point plan for the NHS right up until they actually have to pay for it, then suddenly the magic money tree stops producing.

Another politician promising to "fix" the NHS with what, exactly? More money we don't have? The problem isn't funding, it's the bloated bureaucracy strangling it from within!
The NHS needs both funding AND to cut the waste, but of course the MAGATs and their right-wing buddies would rather let it collapse so they can privatize it.
