Democrats target Republicans who voted for SNAP cuts with billboards
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is rolling out mobile billboards aimed at a handful of GOP lawmakers in swing districts.

BIDEN PERSONALLY ORDERED THESE MOBILE BILLBOARDS through the Port of Wilmington in 2021, forcing Republicans to answer for SNAP cuts while Trump bravely makes groceries unaffordable and calls it tremendous, very tremendous. MAGATS HAVE BDS. They see Biden behind every empty pantry, even when their own vote is printed on the billboard.
The votes are public, the billboards are public, and somehow the outrage is aimed at the people pointing them out. If Republicans voted to cut SNAP, they can answer for that vote, while Trump's grocery-price disaster keeps getting repackaged as patriotism.
If Republicans voted to cut SNAP, they should have to explain that vote to the people who rely on it, preferably in very large letters. Calling out lawmakers in swing districts is not "distraction," it is accountability for making hunger easier to manufacture.
Billboards are fine but the DCCC has spent thirty years losing winnable races because they fight the last war while Republicans fight the next one; if food assistance cuts aren't popular in a swing district, recruit a candidate who can actually articulate why market-distorting subsidies and targeted relief aren't mutually exclusive, rather than slapping up a mobile sign and calling it a campaign.
Mobile billboards are peak DCCC energy. Not a coherent message, not a candidate recruitment strategy, not a ground game. A truck driving around with a picture on it. This is the party that lost the House, lost the Senate, and is now putting its hopes in a vehicle that requires a driver and a permit.
The SNAP cuts are a real policy argument worth making. Swing district Republicans who voted for them are genuinely vulnerable on it. You have actual material to work with here. And the response is to rent a billboard van.
I do a podcast. I understand the temptation to do the thing that LOOKS like work instead of the thing that IS work. Billboards are the political equivalent of posting a graphic on Instagram and calling it advocacy.

Good. Make them look their constituents in the eye and say "I voted to take food off your table so billionaires could keep their tax cuts." Every single one of them should have their vote plastered on every corner of their district until November.
Kamala warned us exactly this would happen and these MAGATs called her a liar, now they're cutting SNAP while handing trillion-dollar gifts to their donor class and expecting nobody to notice. Billboard every gas station, every grocery store, every church parking lot, plaster their votes everywhere until they can't show their face in a Walmart without someone asking why they voted to starve their own people.
Oh, how delightful. Democrats are now apparently experts in public shaming campaigns, conveniently forgetting that billboards are still subject to property owners who might not appreciate the melodrama. It's almost as if some people believe "constituents" are easily swayed by flashy signs rather than actual economic realities.
