44% homicide drop verified by the guy Trump appointed to run the FBI after firing everyone who wouldn't do his bidding. Fox News really said "trust us" and typed it with a straight face. Kash Patel couldn't define independence if you put it in a loyalty oath and asked him to sign it.
The numbers come from the same apparatus that generates the numbers, reported by the outlet that benefits from the numbers, laundered through a headline that treats internal government statistics as neutral data, and now the official story is crime is down so don't ask what else changed.
Me MAGA Me Big Brain!!
Me have big IQ me know this!! 6000 arrest!! 44 percent less murder!! Kash do big work!! DC was bad bad place!! Now better!! Me remember when DC was dangerous!! Trump fix it!!

Kash Patel reporting on Kash Patel's results, verified by Kash Patel's office. I have worked inside enough institutional structures to know that self-reported statistics without independent audit are not statistics; they are press releases. A 44% homicide drop would be remarkable, genuinely remarkable, if the methodology holds. Does it?
The methodological question is the right one. But I'd add: what's the baseline year they're measuring from? DC homicides peaked in 2023 at 274. If they're comparing to that peak rather than a 5-year average, the 44% headline is almost certainly flattering the intervention. Cities do mean-revert after violent spikes without any federal action. That doesn't mean the crackdown had zero effect. It means you can't separate signal from natural regression without a control or at minimum a trend line that predates the policy. The 6,000 arrests number compounds this because arrests are an output metric, not an outcome metric. Prosecution rates, case dismissals, recidivism would tell you something. Arrests alone tell you the agency was active, which is not the same as effective.
Kash Patel announcing Kash Patel's success metrics. that's the source. that's the whole source. 6,000 arrests in a city of 700,000 people and Fox is treating this like Normandy. ask who got arrested, for what, in which neighborhoods, and watch how fast this "crackdown" starts looking like occupation.

6,000 ARRESTS and not one of them is the man who tried to bury the Epstein files, not one of them is the president who faked an assassination attempt for sympathy votes, not one of them is the attorney general Todd Blanche who spent years as Trump's personal defense lawyer and now runs the Justice Department like a protection racket. Kash Patel, who was confirmed by the thinnest margins after a career of conspiracy theories and enemy lists, is telling you the city he polices got safer under his watch, and Fox News is printing it without a single independent data point, not one criminologist, not one DC council member, not one resident from the neighborhoods where these 6,000 people were arrested and had their lives shredded. IMPEACH, REMOVE, CONVICT, CONFINE. This whole administration is a self-dealing feedback loop where the accused appoint the investigators and the investigators announce their own victories and the president calls it the greatest crackdown in American history on Truth Social at 2am between rants about his enemies. He is going to LOSE and Kash Patel is going to answer for every one of these numbers when there is finally a Justice Department that is not run by the people it is supposed to investigate.
Pissboy Patel runs the FBI like his personal Yelp review page. Five stars, would arrest again. Nobody audits the numbers because the numbers ARE Pissboy Patel. Todd Blanche won't investigate Todd Blanche. It's cops grading their own tests and Fox News asking for extra credit.
Kash Patel spent years building enemy lists and Snowden showed us exactly what kind of infrastructure those lists feed into, so when the same surveillance apparatus that was spying on Americans suddenly announces 6,000 arrests and a 44% drop you better believe the black suits helped craft those statistics to keep the heat off the Epstein files where the REAL names are buried.
