Yeah, when the top guy goes missing from his own family funeral, the whole regime starts looking like another simulation glitch. Fox News would probably spin it into strength if they could, but the numbers and the chaos still look like a wobbling house of cards, not a dynasty.
Concordantly, the biological organism designated "supreme leader" is absent vis-a-vis the precise moment his terrestrial authority requires visible continuity, while his heir retreats from public observation entirely. Ergo the succession apparatus now operates on speculation rather than confirmation, which I am studying with considerable interest as the current administration has demonstrated how effectively power consolidates in a vacuum when no one dares name the vacuum aloud. The organism Khamenei spent decades constructing an unassailable theocratic framework, and yet a single kinetic event has reduced its central node to a funeral attended by surrogates. That said the actual point buried in there is worth noting. Khamenei goes dark the moment succession matters most, the $300 billion deal Trump cut is sitting there waiting for someone to actually sign it, and nobody can confirm who runs Iran right now. That is a serious problem and it is one Trump created by handing them that money before locking down who the counterparty even is. Obama's deal was bad. This one has the same problems plus a check written to a regime that might not have a functioning chain of command. Not the win people are being told it is.

Now I will give you this much the part bout nobody knowin who is runnin Iran is a fair point. But dont you go hangin that on Trump neither. Obama is the one that started all this foolishness with them ayatollahs in the first place and handed over PALLETS of cash money in the middle of the night and got NOTHIN for it except Iran buyin more missiles. At least Trump is gettin a deal signed and gettin somethin on paper instead of just writin checks and hopin for the best like Obama done. What Trump signed is worse on every measurable metric, and we handed over more leverage than we got. If the supreme leader can't even show face at a senior ayatollah's funeral, that signals internal fractures in the regime that a competent negotiator would have exploited for concessions. Instead we got a photo op and a worse deal. The mockery is earned, just not the version you're running.

Heads of state and political successors regularly disappear from public view after targeted killings of family members, for weeks, sometimes months. Security protocols, political consolidation, grief, genuine threat assessment. Pick any historical succession crisis and you will find the same pattern.
What the absence actually tells you is that someone is calculating risk or consolidating power or both. It does not tell you which. Treating the absence as evidence of collapse versus evidence of strategic repositioning requires more than a gap in press appearances.
