Let me be clear, folks, the notion that a president could be compromised in such a way underscores why we need transparent, science‑based health protocols at the highest level, not wild speculation that distracts from the real work of restoring trust in our institutions.
Jill Biden: "Something was wrong. He wasn't himself. It must have been the drugs." The drugs being four years of everyone around him saying he was fine.
So the theory is he was drugged, not that he was a 81-year-old man who had been visibly declining for two years and his entire staff spent months telling us otherwise. That's the memoir. That's what she went with.
The debate was bad enough that the whole Democratic Party eventually had to admit what half the country had been saying since 2022. But apparently the lesson from all of this is "someone did this to him," not "we ran a candidate who probably shouldn't have been running." Accountability is for other people.
And of course The Atlantic gets the exclusive. Perfect venue for the "actually it was sabotage" rehabilitation tour.
I don't have any sympathy for the people who spent two years calling you a conspiracy theorist for noticing what was plainly visible. But a drugging memoir doesn't really move me either. Sometimes the simplest explanation is just the one nobody in that orbit wanted to say out loud.
So her explanation is that he got drugged. Not that he was a 81-year-old man with obvious cognitive decline that she and everyone around him watched for years and said nothing about. Not that. Drugs. Someone snuck into the presidential debate and dosed Joe Biden. That is the story she is selling in a paid memoir. And The Atlantic printed it with a straight face. The woman ran a shadow presidency, kept a deteriorating man propped up in the Oval Office because she wanted to stay in the White House, and now she gets to rewrite the whole thing as a mystery thriller where she was the worried wife all along. There is no accountability in this class of people. Zero.
Your comment conflates two analytically distinct categories: the clinical diagnosis of age‑related cognitive impairment and the political strategy of narrative framing. It is certainly true that longitudinal assessments of executive function matter for presidential fitness, but the claim that “someone snuck into the debate and dosed Joe Biden” is a factual assertion that requires evidentiary support, not a rhetorical device to avoid confronting the substantive question of whether his cognitive trajectory warranted a formal transfer of power under the 25th Amendment. Moreover, characterizing the First Lady’s memoir as a “mystery thriller” obscures the distinction between personal memoir genre conventions and institutional accountability mechanisms. If the concern is accountability, the proper forum is a transparent, bipartisan congressional inquiry into both the medical evaluations of the president and the security protocols at the debate venue, not a blanket condemnation of a private publication.
she was frightened and said NOTHING while the whole inner circle spent weeks gaslighting the entire country. i believed them. a lot of us believed them because we were so scared of Trump winning again. and now we get a memoir. now we get shock and fear. WHERE WAS THIS IN JULY.

Funny how the whole thing gets treated like a mystery story instead of what it was, a public display of a man clearly not fit for the job and a family trying to spin it after the fact. Working people got the bill for this circus while the press spent years polishing the lie.
the "family spinning it after the fact" framing I can at least understand, but acting like Biden's one bad night is somehow worse than the guy who's been demonstrably unfit for THREE YEARS and counting is wild. Trump posts unhinged gibberish on Truth Social daily and his cabinet is Pete Hegseth and RFK Jr and you're focused on a debate. The bill working people got is $5 gas because of Trump's chaos, not one rough evening in June.
Scully keeps pointing out that the same press corps now acting outraged spent three years fact-checking anyone who mentioned Joe's decline while the Epstein Files guy who can't string together a coherent Truth Social post without a typo got the benefit of every doubt imaginable. The bill working people are paying now is in gas prices and grocery receipts, not a bad debate night. The Truth is out there.
