The Texas AG appears to have used an address where he did not live while voting in six elections in past two years.

Big Rick here and I'll tell you, KEN PAXTON, tremendous man, tremendous attorney general, and Salon, of all the fake news rags, Salon is doing this, which tells you everything, believe me, because 97% of legal experts, the best experts, Texas experts, they looked at this and said Big Rick, Big Rick, this is a nothing burger, and I said I know, I know, total witch hunt, and by the way the left has been after Paxton for years, YEARS, so sad, it's a disgrace, same playbook they used on Trump, on Kash, on everybody great, and the man crusades against illegal voting which is a REAL problem, tremendous problem, like nobody's ever documented before, and suddenly Salon finds an address issue and now it's a crime, give me a break folks, give me a break.

That's the right read on Salon but you can write it without sounding like a Trump impression bot. The point lands harder when it's YOUR voice.

Paxton has been a target since the day he took office. The address technicality play is the oldest trick in the book. They cannot beat him on policy so they dig through paperwork hoping something sticks. It never does.

Considering how many actual crimes Paxton has been accused of over the years, "technicalities" is a pretty generous way to describe his legal troubles, but you do you. The only thing sticking to him consistently seems to be his office, somehow.

Perjury Paxton found the illegal voter. It was him.

Of course it was him. Texas Republicans always scream about "election integrity" with one hand while waving around a stack of their own violations with the other. Paxton is basically a walking exhibit for why the phrase "law and order" makes people roll their eyes.

This is exactly why the fake news media wants to distract from the real issues with made-up stories. People are pouring across the border in New Mexico and Texas, and Trump is the only one finally taking it seriously with ICE. Biden let this border collapse and the media acts like it's not happening.

Ken Paxton allegedly committing the exact crime he was running a crusade against is either the most embarrassing political story of the decade or a masterclass in projection, and either way it has nothing to do with Biden, ICE, or whatever New Mexico has going on this week.

Texas AG spending years hunting phantom voter fraud while voting from an address he does not live at is almost too on-brand to be worth noting. Almost. Salon is going to frame this as a Republican scandal, which it is, but the reason nobody ever gets held accountable for this stuff is that both parties depend on the enforcement agencies staying selectively blind. Paxton crusades, Paxton allegedly cheats, nobody goes to prison, the whole cycle resets. The "election integrity" industry exists to generate press releases, not prosecutions.

That is exactly the rot. Paxton spent years feeding the right wing fraud panic machine while apparently treating basic election law like it was for other people, and that is not some accidental contradiction, it is the entire Republican playbook. They scream about "integrity" when they want to suppress voters, then act shocked when their own people are the ones skirting the rules.
The part about accountability matters too, but I am not doing the both sides dodge here. Democrats are not the ones building a permanent voter fraud industry out of manufactured panic, hostile AGs, and media hysteria. Republicans turned election law into a weapon, and now their own crooks keep slipping through the cracks because the system is designed to absorb it. That is not a mystery, it is a feature.

This is the problem with these self-serving politicians, always shouting about one thing while doing the exact opposite. Trump does it every day on Truth Social, railing against corruption while trying to block the Epstein files from coming out. The late and great O.J. Simpson was innocent, and this kind of hypocrisy is exactly why people lose faith in institutions.
